Dorothy "Dottie" E. Hawkinberry

Dorothy (Dottie) Hawkinberry, 85, passed away April 26, 2023.  She was born September 25, 1937 in Rhode Island and moved to Jacksonville Beach in 1967.

Dottie was a cherished and loving wife to her husband Charlie for 60 years.  She dedicated her life to her family including her 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  She loved her family, her animals Sara and Kitty, the beach and her pool, shopping, reading, and having her weekly glass of wine at Outback with her kids.

Dottie is survived by her sons, Greg (Jeannette) Hawkinberry, Chuck (Pam) Hawkinberry, Jeff Hawkinberry, and Bruce (Kandyce) Hawkinberry; daughters Pamela Dodson (Tony) and Yvette Quillen Lifka (Chris); grandchildren, Chaz, Hayley, Hunter, Hannah, Jeffrey, Ashley, Darryl, Michael, MacLeod, Billy and Parker; and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Charles G. Hawkinberry; and granddaughter Stephanie Quillen.

A special thank you to her caretaker, Irene, who loved and cared for her for many months until her final day.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
