Dorothy Cvercko

Dorothy Cvercko passed on Saturday July 23, 2016, while reading in a lounge chair on her patio, one of her favorite pastimes of recent years.
Dorothy was an active lady enjoying sporting activities throughout her life.  She was an accomplished softball player in her youth and participated for years in organized bowling and golf leagues.  She and her previously deceased husband, Mike, were married for 64 years, during which they loved and nurtured a family of two sons with daughters-in law, grandchildren and a great grandchild.
After retiring from the sporting activities, Dorothy enjoyed her condominium in Jacksonville and regular family gatherings to celebrate the small and large events of an active family.
Dorothy was a devoted Orthodox Christian and will be remembered with reverence in a funeral service at St. Justin the Martyr Orthodox Church at 10:00 am, on Monday, August 1, 2016 with interment following the service.  In lieu of flowers of which she had in abundance and enjoyed planting and caring for at her homes during her lifetime, the family asks that memorial donations be directed to St Justin the Martyr Orthodox Church, Jacksonville FL.
