Dorothy Andrews

Dorothy Anne Andrews went to our Lord on December 19, 2017. She was born April 6, 1925 in Troy New York.
Dorothy graduated with a Bachelor of Science from St. Rose College in Albany, NY in 1947. Shortly thereafter, she married Jack Andrews, an engineer with General Electric. She then followed Jack’s career from New York, Kansas and Connecticut where they settled in Uncasville, Connecticut. There Dorothy started her 26 year career as an educator, teaching 4th graders in the Montville School system. Upon retiring, she moved to Boston to be closer to her adult children. She continued her calling as a substitute teacher until she fully retired to her homes in Lavallette, NJ and Pompano, FL. Her last move was to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL to be by her daughters.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Debra; son Michael; and 7 grandchildren: Lori, Sean, Craig, Christopher, William, Erin and Mary. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, daughter Cynthia and son John.
Following her wishes there will be no memorial services. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Cohoes, NY.
