Doris Rife-Gellman

Doris Kaye Rife-Gellman was a beautiful light to all who knew her and she was taken away too soon.  She was a friend to everyone and her radiant smile will be everlasting in our hearts.  She was born February 23, 1967.  The Lord called her to heaven on October 21, 2017.  She was a resident of Jacksonville Beach, Florida and enjoyed the sand, sun and fun with family and friends.  She attended Neptune Baptist Church and was employed at Xcenda/Amerisource Bergen Consulting Services as a Field Outsourcing Manager.

Kaye was preceded in death by her biological father, Swanson Ward.  In addition to her father, she was preceded by grandparents, Jay and Josephine Rife, Alden and Elsie Ward, Harry and Delphia Stacy Davis, and Johnny Stacy.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Gellman and step-son, Brandon Gellman of Jacksonville Beach, FL; her parents, Jay and Janice Rife of Grundy, VA; one sister and brother-in-law, Steven and Anita Hossfeld-Kelly of Acworth, GA; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Lariza Rife of Midlothian, VA.  Kaye was Aunt “Cupcake” to her nieces, Lauren and Lindsey Hossfeld, Victoria Cuellar, Ainsley and Sydney Rife.  She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held on November 2, 2017 at 11:00 am at Neptune Baptist Church, 407 Third Street, Neptune Beach, Florida 32266.  Reverend Tom Bary will be officiating.  Services will be held on November 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12 noon at Grundy Baptist Church, Grundy, VA with Reverend Thomas McDonald officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to each respective church, dedicated to their building funds.
