Doris McGlynn

Doris McGlynn passed away peacefully at home with family on March 1, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.

She was born in Measham Staff England on Feb 21, 1937 to Gladys and Herbert and had one older sister named Gladys who all predeceased her.

She is also predeceased by her husband of 46 years Joseph McGlynn.  They met while he was stationed with the Navy in England.  She was a proud military wife for 30 years before they retired here in Atlantic Beach.

Doris loved nature, animals and did ballet in England from 3yoa to 18yoa.  She was very artistic and had a very British sense of humor and laughed a lot.  She also sang in the church choir at St. Paul’s By the Sea Episcopal Church for over 20 years.

She is survived by 3 children John (Debbie), Michael, and Gail (Jack Lynch); and 3 grandchildren, Brittney, Chris and Kevin.

Doris was a huge animal lover and left behind 6 dogs and 2 cats who will miss her greatly.  In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to an Animal Rescue in her name.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Paul’s By the Sea Episcopal Church, 465 11th Ave. N., Jax Bch, FL 32250.
