Donna Maria Morrissey

Donna M Morrissey, 79, passed away June 5, 2022, her 46^th wedding anniversary.  She was born April 4, 1943, in Cleveland, OH to Toney and Estelle Maria. 

She grew up in Garfield Heights, OH.  After receiving under and graduate degrees from Ohio State University, she embarked on a 40-year elementary teaching and reading specialist career in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Florida.  She retired from The Bolles School in Ponte Vedra Beach.  Being the consummate educator, she was extremely organized.  It is what made her the best family social director, mother, Mimi, and wife.  When she wasn’t doing these things, she enjoyed sports, book club and traveling.  During all of this, she had a deep faith, strengthened by CRHP, attended Mass, and received communion almost daily.  She had a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  All of that gave her the strength to put up a strong 4 1/2-year battle with multiple myeloma.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Pat; son, Brian; daughter, Missy (Tom) Melba; grandchildren, Tommy, and Kathryn; brother, Raymond Maria; niece, Leslie; and nephew, David.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 545 A1A North, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082 with Monsignor Keith Brennan as Celebrant.
