Donald M. Connell

Donald Connell, 89, passed away peacefully at Community Hospice McGraw Center, on August 29, 2023. Born in New York City, he retired to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1980.

 Don proudly served 27 years in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician. After retiring, he began a second career with the US Postal Service, putting his military training to good use, keeping the mail processing machines online.

 A lifelong NY Yankees fan, he was also a hopeful Jaguars fan who faithfully watched the games from his recliner.

 Don is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sharon; son, Donny (Sindy); and daughter, Linda (Annette Aleywine) Connell. He joined his son, Bill, in his eternal home with Jesus.

 A 50 plus year member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, a memorial will be held, in the future, at the Church’s Columbarium in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
