Dennis Ferguson

Dennis Ferguson, 68, died June 6, 2018 in Jacksonville Beach, where he resided for 8 years. He is survived by his sons: Matthew (Rachel), Vincent and Jonathan; childhood friend, Gary Brady; a sister; a niece and nephew; as well as five great nieces and nephews and many cousins. He was predeceased by parents Curtis and Anna Ferguson.

A lifelong musician, he moved to Jacksonville in 1982 as an RN and Psychiatric Specialist working as Director of Nursing at St Johns River Hospital and Daniel Memorial. He was proud of his training and volunteerism with the Florida Highway Patrol before returning to NY to work as Clinical Director of Hospice of New York. His passions were his family, music and patient advocacy.

Memorial to be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to remember Dennis may contribute to the Juvenile Diabetic Association.
