Dean Andersen, 62, a lifelong Atlantic Beach resident, passed away peacefully at home on April 12th, 2016, surrounded by his family.
Dean was a championship Surfer as well as a decorated martial arts competitor. He worked many years for Roland Seafood in Mayport, as a mold maker for Sally Corporation and more recently as a self employed licensed Massage Therapist.
His loves were the Beach, surfing, music, pets, family and friends. Dean was always known for his positive attitude, undying generosity and adventuresome demeanor.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Cathy Andersen, a son, Sean Andersen, daughter Erin Andersen as well as two grandchildren, Avery and Stela, all residents of Atlantic Beach.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 23rd in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz, Jacksonville Beach. The family and friends will gather from 1:30 –2pm prior to the service at 2pm.
