David L. Solomon, III (1947-2023) passed away on April 18 after a long and valiant battle with Alzheimer's Disease. David was the cherished husband and true love of Kathleen Long. He was the deeply loved father of Melanie and special father-in-law of William G. Dobbins and grandfather, "Papa", of William and W. David Dobbins. He was the beloved brother of Michael (Robin) Solomon and Kathy Solomon. He will be remembered and missed by his aunt Carolyn, many cousins and his "Buffalo family", Patricia and Joseph Kurtz, Suzanne and Edward Long and their children. He was a unique and loving uncle.
David served in the U.S. Army and was proud of his country. He was a businessman and entrepreneur. What he valued most was his family and friends. He was a kind, funny and generous man.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2023 in Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home followed by his Funeral service with Reverend William "Bill" Clark officiating.
The reception has had a CHANGE OF VENUE but will still follow in Atlantic Beach at 30 NORTH in Fleet Landing, NOT at the Annex.
