Darla M Buck

Darla Mae Buck, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Darla was born to Jessie and John Masenheimer on March 3, 1943 in York, Pennsylvania. Darla met her husband Lee at USF&G in Miami, Florida. And after a short courtship were married on Thanksgiving day, November 22, 1962.  God, church, and family were her main priorities in life.

Darla loved volunteering at church; she adored children and loved teaching Sunday School as well as Wednesday night dinners. Darla enjoyed bowling, dancing, golf, bridge, and playing games with her daughters and grandchildren.

Darla is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Lee; daughters Lisa (Steve) Cowperthwaite, April (Greg) Knott, Joy Buck, and Jana (Nick) Andrews; grandchildren Katelyn (Zach), Kristen, Kellie (Palmer), Nikki, Grace, Nathan (Harriet), Ryan (Miriam), Caleb (Christine), Anna, Christine, Kylie, Emily, Aubrey, and Kelsey; and ten great grandchildren; brothers Larry, John, and Terry.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm, February 1st, 2023 at the Church of Eleven22-San Pablo Campus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beach Church (beachchurchjax.com) or the Church of Eleven22 (coe22.com).
