Daniel Patrick Casino (Danny) 70, passed away August 10, 2022. He was born March 2, 1952, in Quantico, VA. He grew up in Jacksonville Beach after moving there in 1961 and loved to surf, fish, bowl, and travel. He graduated from Fletcher HS in 1970.
Danny was the owner and operator of Casino’s Wallcovering and Carpet, Inc. for 30 years. In 1988 he married Rosa and working together the business flourished.
Danny loved to fish and the captained the Casino Royal in many fishing tournaments. Just to name a few in 1988 he took 1st place in the Jax Beach cobia tournament, in 1989 he took 1st place in Big Fish category of the cobia tournament, in 1992 he took 1st place in the Greater Jax King Fish VIP tournament, and in 1994 he took 1st place as the SKA High Point Angler.
Danny is survived by his wife Rosa of 34 years, sister-in-law Joan Gibson Crowe (Jax), brother-in-law John Gibson (Bonnie) Palm Bay, FL, brother-in-law David Gibson Palm Bay, mother-in-law Esther Gibson of Walterboro, SC, grandson Nathan Reid, his mother and three sisters, and many nephews and nieces.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 11:00 – 1:00 in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
