CARPIO Concepcion A. Carpio, 89, passed away November 18, 2015. She was born December 5, 1925 in Catanauan, Quezon Province, Philippines. She worked with the Department of Education, Department of the Treasury and retired from the City of Jacksonville in 1992. She came from a family of musicians, and Concepcion herself was a Music Education teacher from her native land, the Philippines. She enjoyed listening to different classical music in four different languages. Concepcion is survived by her only child Carol M. Brown of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Ivy Billingham and husband Tony of Dubai, UAE; nieces, Gloria Kocay, Bel Gonzales, Naty Basa, Armie Franco, all of Vancouver, BC, Canada and Tess Parcasio of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; nephews, Edwin Aguilar of Vancouver, BC, Canada and Jubal Aguilar and his wife Neneth of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Concepcion was predeceased by her husband Paul. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Reverend Matthew Ibok as Celebrant.
