Colleen Roberts Schneider

Colleen Roberts Schneider, 56, of Ponte Vedra, Florida, passed away on December 23, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida, after a long illness.

Colleen was born on February 5, 1968, to Gloria and Adair Roberts in Richmond, Virginia. She spent her childhood in Hillsborough, New Jersey, alongside her younger brother, Jack, and younger sister, Martie. Colleen graduated in 1986 from Immaculata High School in Somerville, New Jersey, before pursuing studies in communications at Immaculata College near Malvern, Pennsylvania. She also furthered her education at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor Township, New Jersey. Professionally, Colleen excelled as a Vice President at the American List Counsel in Princeton, New Jersey, where she worked under the mentorship of her dear friend Kim Lowenthal.

Colleen had a gift for making those around her laugh with her sharp wit and brilliant sense of humor. She put people at ease and brought genuine care to all who knew her. Colleen's vibrant personality shone through her love of music, cinema, and art. Colleen's knowledge of music was unparalleled. She had an extraordinary ability to recall songs, artists, albums, and release years with remarkable precision. Her passion for music led her to an Alan Jackson concert in 1998, where she met the love of her life, John Schneider. The two were married on September 23, 2000, in Skillman, New Jersey. They welcomed their daughter Quinlan Adair Schneider in September 2001 and their son Emory John Schneider in August 2007. They built a beautiful life in Ponte Vedra, Florida, surrounded by family and friends.

On February 13, 2016, Colleen was given the gift of a lung transplant, at The Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, by a generous organ donor. Colleen knew life was precious, and she viewed her organ donor as her biggest hero. She celebrated her yearly transplant anniversary by expressing gratitude and encouraging others to become organ donors. In keeping with her loving and generous spirit, Colleen gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

Colleen is survived by her husband, John Schneider; her children Quinlan and Emory; her parents, Gloria and Adair Roberts of Ponte Vedra Beach; her brother Jack Roberts (Brette Taylor) of New York, New York; sister Martie Roberts (Matthew Lanese), and niece Susannah Lanese of New Milford, Connecticut.

Her legacy is one of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Everywhere I go, everything I do, every song is you.
Searched my mind just to find
Something I always knew
Every song is you
