Christine Harrell

Christine P. Harrell, 87, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019.

Mrs. Harrell was born on February 25, 1932 in Eastman, GA, to the late James H. Pickett and Essiline Simmons. She moved to the Atlantic Beach area in 1965 with her (5) children and now late husband Naaman R. Harrell, USN RET.

Mrs. Harrell spent many years as, an active member of Friendship Baptist Church, Atlantic, Beach, FL, a Community Activist and Public-School Parent-Teacher Liaison in support of the “Beaches” schools.

Survivors include: daughter Josephine (Davis) Salem; daughter and son-in-law Delores and John Brannon; son, Naaman Harrell, Jr; son, Lonnie Harrell and fiancée Tamara La’ Bordeaux; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Harrell.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10th at By Faith Christian Ministries, 215 Century 21 Drive, Jacksonville, FL, with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m.   Interment will follow in Beaches Memorial Park, 1500 Main Street, Atlantic Beach, FL.
