Charles Vermillion

Charles E. Vermillion, 88, passed away peacefully December 19, 2018, in the McGraw Center for Caring, Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Covington, Kentucky, graduated from Holmes High School and attended the University of Kentucky. For 50 years, Charlie traveled the Southeast as a sales representative in the optical business. He retired to Atlantic Beach with his wife, Sally, where he served on the Board of Directors of Le Chateau Condominium and as its president for 17 years.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sally; son, Chris (Brenda) Vermillion of Nocatee; daughter, Allison (David) Needle of West Palm Beach; daughter, Pamela Schlegel of Orlando; and five grandchildren.

At Charles’ request, a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community Hospice McGraw Center, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
