Charles Hawkinberry

Charles G. Hawkinberry, 80, passed away on May 18, 2017. He was born on September 4, 1936 in Fairmont, WV. He moved his family to Jacksonville in 1967 where he lived the rest of his life.
Charlie proudly served our country in the US Navy at the age of 18. After the Navy, he started a career with Cadillac and Toyota in Sales and Finance which he worked until retirement. He loved traveling to Gatlinburg and St. Augustine with his wife. He also enjoyed family time, going to the Daytona 500 with his boys, gardening and cracking jokes.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; sons, Greg (Jeannette) Hawkinberry, Chuck (Pam) Hawkinberry, Jeff Hawkinberry, and Bruce (Kandyce) Hawkinberry; daughters, Pamela Dodson and Yvette Quillen; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Richard; and sister, Sue. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Sr. and Helen Stafford; and granddaughter, Stephanie.
A Graveside Service was held May 23, 2017 in the Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
