Today, we gather to celebrate the life of an extraordinary woman—Carol Lynne Frauenheim, born on September 7, 1943, in El Centro, Colombia, South American. Lynne was the third sibling (Ann, Bob, Don, Jane, and Rick) born to Frederick & Bertha Amelia Mae Wellington. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, amazing mother, devoted Nana, cherished friend, and an inspiring teacher to many.
Family was at the heart of her life. She found immense joy in spending quality time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who were her greatest treasures. As a Nana, she not only showered them with love but also shared her passions, teaching them to swim and instilling in them a love for life and laughter.
Her spirit was vibrant, often ignited by the rhythms of her beloved Colombian music. Whether she was dancing with husband and/or family members with a glass of wine in hand or sharing stories from her childhood, her joy was infectious. Her talent as a synchronized swimmer was remarkable; the water was her element, and she spent countless hours enjoying it along with her love of plants and gardening. The fun she brought into everything she did was priceless.
Carol Lynne Frauenheim, was married to the amazing Kerner Eugene Frauenheim on December 21, 1968. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. She leaves behind her sons Darrell (Michelle) Frauenheim and Greg (Kristina) Frauenheim, her daughters Christi (Shannon) Wheeler and Leslie (Corey) Pollack, and her treasured grandchildren: Courtney, Natalie, Elise, Mallory, Maddy, Thomas, Charlie, James, Mason, Colton, and Blake. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and legacy.
As we remember Carol Lynne Frauenheim, let us celebrate her life—the laughter she shared, the lessons she taught, and the love that she so generously gave. The viewing will take place from 5:00 -7:00 PM Friday, November 1, 2024, at Quin Shalz Family Funeral Home 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville, FL 32250. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30pm Saturday, November 2, 2024, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church 2400 Mayport Road, Jacksonville FL 32233. Reception following the burial service at Gene & Lynne’s home.
May we honor her memory by embracing our families and cherishing the moments we have together, just as she did.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Carol Lynne Frauenheim.
