Carl Jackson Mills, “Jack” of Neptune Beach, Florida, passed away on February 23, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 1, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. After his service, he worked for the Department of Corrections until his retirement. He enjoyed his retirement surrounded by nature on the Suwannee River in Live Oak, Florida.

Above the pride he had for his work, his family gave him the most joy. In September, Jack, and his wife Kathleen, “Kathy,” celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. He was a loving and caring father to his daughters. He was proud of his daughters and made sure they knew how much he loved them. Above all, he made sure his wife, daughters, and grandsons were well cared for and never went without. His generosity and unconditional love will be most remembered along with his sense of humor and love of food.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Mills; daughters, Betsy Birdsong (John), Stacey Mills (Santino), and Jacquelyn “Jackie” Mills (Colma); and his grandsons, Jackson Birdsong and Rocco LoVullo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Friday, March 8th in St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Valanarasu Irudayanathan as Celebrant, 526 1st Ave N, Jacksonville Beach, FL.
