Brian Boru Rampacek, age 86, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on September 21, 1938, New York City, New York. Brian studied at University of Niagara, but then transferred to the University of Miami, where he graduated with honors with a degree in accounting. Passing through Jacksonville after graduation, he met his wife, Suellen Robinson, a Jacksonville native.

He served 20 years as an aviator in the United States Navy. After retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he worked for another 20 years as an Internal Revenue Service Agent.

Brian's faith was central to his life. He graduated from Cardinal Farley High School in NYC and was a lifelong Catholic. Brian was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea parish in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, until his health kept him home. He continued his church services from home via televised Mass.

Brian is survived by his wife of 61 years, Suellen, and their three children: Francis Rampacek II (Chip), Sean Rampacek, and Melanie Beckham. Melanie and her husband Joel, gave Brian two grandsons, Brennan and Noah. Brennan and his wife Danielle gave Brian two beautiful great granddaughters, Blake and Rylee. As well, Brian was able to see his other grandson, Noah, get married to Carly of Fernandina Beach, FL.

A graveside service will be held on February 14, 2025, at Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218) at 2:00 PM.
