Beverly Ann Koerner, age 86, beloved wife, mother, grandma, aunt, friend and cousin passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Beverly passed away peacefully at home in her sleep after a brief illness, surrounded by loved ones.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Beverly loved dancing at Euclid Beach Park, fishing in Canada and the Great Lakes. Bev and Joe moved to Florida in 1964 to open the first Dunkin Donuts in Jacksonville. Shortly after, the couple purchased the Bresler’s ice cream store in Regency Square Mall, which they ran together for 20 years and raised their Family.
After retiring to the Beaches, Beverly became an avid golfer. She enjoyed playing golf with her husband at the Jacksonville Beach Public golf course where she and Joe made lifelong friends. Bev was a faithful volunteer at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. For decades Beverly could be found at St Paul’s either donating her time assisting with the counting of the collections or providing meals for the services at the Church. She never missed an opportunity to show her love to all through the meals she prepared for weddings, funerals, graduations and Christenings. Bev loved to travel, London was one of her favorites but travels included other destinations in Europe, Bahamas and throughout the US. Beverly is survived by her husband Joseph, daughter Karin (Daryl), son Michael (Kristi) and two grandchildren (Cali and Casey).
A Mass in Celebration of her Life will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church, or to the charity of your choice.
