Barbara Ann Endriss

It is with great sadness that Barbara Ann Fisher Endriss passed away on May 8, 2018.  Barbara was born on August 30, 1932, to Gladys Winslow and Clemence Fisher in Goshen, NY.  The family moved to West Haven, CT, where she graduated high school.  Subsequently, Barbara attended Larsen Junior College for Women, where she was the treasurer of her class.

Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Robert Endriss, who preceded her in death.  They enjoyed 38 years of marriage and had three daughters.

Barbara loved to play golf and for many years was an officer of the Sawgrass Women’s Golf Association.  Barbara was also a member of the Beaches Ladies Golf Association as well as the Senior Golfers of America.  She travelled with them, playing golf throughout the country.

Barbara loved to travel.  She took several safari tours to east Africa and travelled throughout Europe and Australia.  She also enjoyed playing bridge and other games with her dear friends.

The love of her life was her family:  Daughters, Marilyn Endriss and Peter Dygert, their sons, Eben (Whitney) and Seth; Susan and Dale Carruthers, their children, Drew (Jennifer) and Meredith Dowling (Brice); Karen Endriss, her son, Brandon (Sabrina).  Barbara was blessed with three sweet and adorable great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  The family wishes to express their gratitude to Community Hospice for the kindness and support shown to Barbara and them.
