Austin Galloway

May 7, 2007 — April 12, 2025

Austin Lynn Galloway passed away in Jacksonville, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of achievements and boundless love. Born in Killeen, Texas, Austin's vibrant life was a testament to his extraordinary spirit, remarkable talents, and the deep connections he forged in his 17 years. Austin is survived by his devoted parents, Joy-Therese Galloway and Ryan James Galloway, who loved him beyond measure. He was preceded in death by his cherished Nana who he loved and his Poppy who he absolutely worshipped. From an early age, Austin’s social, athletic, and academic achievements were exceptional. Throughout his schooling, he was a valued member of the book club and was a violinist in the orchestra, performing first chair at Pensacon. Austin was also an incredible athlete. Throughout middle school and high school, Austin wrestled and swam competitively, earning him a Letterman on the varsity swim team. Austin’s love for knowledge shined by learning French, completing advanced mathematics, and graduating high school a year early in 2024 at only 16 years old. His leadership skills shined during his JROTC career, while rising to the rank of chief. Austin’s graduation walk was planned for May 28th, 2025, where he would be adorned with 3 honors ropes for Volunteer Service, Completion of A.P. Courses, and Graduating Early. Austin’s biggest dream to become a pilot was forged in middle school when he was awarded the privilege to fly the 1947 piperJ3cub with a retired Captain. Austin was currently studying at Pensacola Community College with a goal to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University after graduation.

Austin’s love for the water has always been a part of his life; surfing, wakeboarding, or just a beach trip with friends, but his true obsession was cars. As a child, he collected over 500 Hot Wheels that he would take apart and put back together just the way he wanted. His love for cars was unmatched, and at the age of 15, his passion evolved into a business. Austin started his own detailing service and worked at a car wash all while attending classes. His dream was to open his own car wash, oil change and detail shop. With his entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic, his dream and much more would have become a reality. Austin lived his life to the fullest, capitalizing on every opportunity presented. Austin was always down for an adventure and if there wasn’t one, he made one; in came the Boston Effect. His never give up attitude allowed him to believe anything is achievable. He knew the one-word sentence “NO” but couldn’t hear it. Austin’s heart was one of compassion, love and understanding. He literally gave a stranger the shirt off his back. Austin lived in a world without strangers. Every day he met a “new friend” and if you had the privilege of being his friend then you were his family. Austin Loved with his whole heart, strong and deep. The impact that he has made on this world is truly remarkable. The way he carried himself with confidence, love, compassion, strength, honesty and admiration is something we should all try to emulate. He was always his true and unapologetically authentic self. Austin is not gone because he lives with every person he loved and was loved by. He is eternally alive through us, the ones who would have the privilege of calling him Son, Brother, Nephew, Family and Friend.

Call it ‘The Boston Effect’... Learn it. Memorize it. Study it. And last but not least, worship me.” - Austin Boston
