Apryl Dawn Price

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Apryl Dawn Price (nee Gray), who was called home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2025. Apryl was born on February 21, 1961, in Tampa, Florida to Richard and Lavonia Gray as the oldest of four children. She lived a life devoted to her faith in God, her family, and her love for all of God's creatures.

Apryl is survived by her two sons, Adam Christopher Price (Samantha) and Brian David Price, along with her five grandchildren Miriam(19), Layna(13), Lavyn(11), Katherine(7) and Caroline(4). Her grandchildren brought immeasurable joy to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Apryl’s heart was full of love for her family, and she deeply believed that her greatest blessings were her children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Kevin Gray and Shari Gruhn, and was preceded in death by her beloved sister Melissa Trumble. 

A devout woman of faith, Apryl lived her life in complete reliance on God. Through all of life’s trials and triumphs, Apryl called on her faith to help her find peace, strength, and a sense of purpose. She believed in the power of prayer and held fast to the promises of God’s love. Her unwavering trust in the Lord guided her each day and was a testament to her strong Christian spirit. Apryl also had a tender heart for animals and demonstrated God's love through her care for her many cats and dogs throughout her life. Her compassion for animals reflected the kindness and mercy she experienced through her faith.

Her passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace with our Heavenly Father, rejoicing in His presence. Apryl’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on through her family, her friends, and all who were touched by her gentle spirit.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on March 8, 2025 at 2pm at Quinn Shalz Funeral Home, where we will gather to honor her memory and the deep love she had for God and her family. The location is 3600 3rd St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society, in honor of Apryl’s lifelong compassion for animals.
