ANTHONY JUDE ROMANO SR.
On May 29th, 2022, after a courageous 4 year battle against cancer, Anthony Jude Romano Sr. was called home to be with our Lord and Savior.
Born on July 19th, 1955 on Long Island, New York, Anthony grew up excelling at athletics with a passion for lacrosse and football. He married his high school sweetheart and they moved to Atlantic Beach in 1980 to raise their family.
Anthony was a loving Husband, Father, and Papa. Co-founder of Romano Brothers Roofing, he was known to many as "Uncle Ant".
He is survived by his wife Gerry, his children Justine Adams (Noah), Laura Twyman (Chad), Anthony Romano Jr. (Tara), his grandchildren Andrew Twyman (Ashleigh), Harper Romano, Cole Adams, and great granddaughter Ryleigh Twyman, as well as countless family members and friends.
Anthony's family wishes to thank Dr. Green, as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at the Mayo Clinic for the exceptional care they provided. Anthony received many life prolonging blood transfusions and his family would like to encourage donating blood in his memory.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 3rd St. S., Jacksonville Beach, FL on Sunday, June 5th between 4-6 PM.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Christian Church of the Beaches, 2125 Ocean Front, Neptune Beach, FL, on June 6th at 3 PM.
