Ann Ellarson, 74, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, with family by her side.
Ann was a loving daughter, wife and mother, a caring sister, a very proud nana and a dear friend to many. She was born the eldest of six siblings on April 9, 1943 in Stockton-on-Tees, England. Ann and her first husband had three sons, John, Jason and Justin. They lived in the Bahamas, New York, Tokyo and California where Ann spent a decade serving at the famous Hotel del Coronado. Years later, while working at the Belvedere Hotel in Maryland, Ann met Bill, the love of her life. They were married in 1981 and had one daughter, Riann. Shortly after, they moved to Florida and made Ormond Beach their home for over 20 years and lived in Jacksonville the last 13 years.
Ann enjoyed bowling, golfing, dancing and a good pair of high heels. She was a delight to be around and could start up a conversation with anyone. She treasured visits from her grandchildren, phone calls from England and visits back home. Spending time with her family and friends brought Ann the most joy. She will be remembered for all the support, guidance and encouragement she freely gave and for her unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Charles. Ann is survived by her devoted husband Bill of 36 years; her three sons, John Callicott of Lexington Park, MD; Jason Callicott of Jacksonville, FL; Justin (Andrea) Callicott of Cumming, GA; daughter, Riann (Mike) Boyd of Jacksonville, FL; step-daughter, Betty Kachnycz of Daytona Beach, FL; six grandchildren; four sisters, Linda Ludley, Carol Nobel, Sheila Evans and Marie Briggs and numerous extended family in Norton, England.
A memorial service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 3:00pm at Chets Creek Church in Jacksonville, FL. A food and fellowship reception will follow. Please RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/events/361516344243561.
