Anita Louise Flynn, born on November 12, 1923, passed away at the young age of 96 on July 22, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was full of beauty, had a fantastic memory and a contagious laugh. She credited her full life to starting the day with oatmeal, enjoying people and dance.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 35 years, Edward P. Flynn. Her loving family including her three daughters: Irene Flynn, Janet Flynn, and Denise Bryant (Larry) will miss her greatly. She was a loving Grandma to her four grandchildren Michele Bauer (Todd), Jennifer Dodani (Deepak), Jeff Bryant (Ruth) and Alessandra Flynn; and her great grandchildren Dylan, Cameron, Holden, and Caden Bauer; Evan and Isabella Dodani; Asher and Sabine Bryant.
Anita enjoyed life and family occasions. She loved coffee, dancing, playing the card game “War”, and spending countless hours at the beach. She was big on sending greeting cards with her signature "LOVE" spelled out of X’s followed by XOXOXO and was always the first to sing Happy Birthday to those she loved. She would laugh to tears and was known as "Elmo" grandma.
She will be at peace at the H. Warren Smith Cemetery in Jacksonville Beach and alongside her husband at the St. Charles Cemetery in New York. Some of her ashes will be spread in the Atlantic Ocean, she'll be dancing with the waves.
