Alice Gessner

Alice C. Gessner, 91, passed away October 15, 2016. She was born January 3, 1925 in Shanghai, China.
She received her masters degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, worked and raised her family in Glen Ridge, NJ before retiring to Silver Spring, MD. She moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2013.
Alice is survived by her son, Kelvin (Carol); daughters, Grace Chen and Elaine (Michael) Marotta; grandchildren Alison and Jonathan Marotta. She was predeceased by her husband, Adolf Gessner.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Mon. Oct. 24 in Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. W, Silver Spring, MD. Viewing at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Lung Association or American Heart Association.
